Robin Bridges was born in London, UK. She grew up in Kent and London. At the age of 13 she began writing poetry and short stories, and at 16 she won a place on the scholarship at St Pauls Girls' School. At the age of 18, she took her first job as an assistant to the editor of "Time Out" magazine
She went on to work for "The Mail on Sunday", "Vogue", "The Economist" and then became deputy editor of "Harper's Bazaar". She now lives in France with her husband, two children (and their dog) and an ever-expanding array of animals.
